Veterinary Services

As a new client of our Mercerville Animal Hospital, you can expect our full attention to your pets’ needs. 

When booking your appointments, we require a deposit for your upcoming appointment, this will be applied to your final invoice at the time of your visit,  and medical history records.  Your pet’s medical history records can be emailed to mercerville@gmail.Com. It is very important that our team has these prior to your pets’ appointment. 

We will also ask for your contact number and email address.   Once we have your email address, we will link your account, and you will be able to set up your pets, on our pet portal.  This portal has all of your pet’s valuable information and can be used to view vaccine history, order prescription refills, make appointment requests, and much more.

What to expect

Arrival

When you arrive please come into the practice and our reception team will check you in. If you have worries about your animal with others in the waiting room, please call 609 587 5863 to let us know you have arrived.

Pet Medical History

Whether you choose to remain outside or to come in,  one of our veterinary technicians will start each visit by asking your pet’s medical history, any current condition, and the reason for your visit. This is to ensure that the Doctor has all of the necessary information for your appointment.

Examination

After your pets’ medical history and visit information are completed, your pet will be seen by one of our veterinarians. During the visit, the Doctor will examine your pet, ask you further questions, and recommend diagnostic tests if needed. Once the tests have been completed, which, in most cases, can be done in the practice, your doctor will discuss a possible diagnosis and treatment plan if warranted.

Communication

This is a great time to ask questions. Our veterinary team wants to be sure that you are completely comfortable with all of the  information that has been provided. Our veterinary technician will help complete your appointment as well as provide you with helpful pet care information and answer wellness and care questions that you may have.

Payment

Lastly, Our front desk staff will process your payment and schedule any needed follow-up.

Our Promise

Our goal is to see all our clients and patients on time, and although we have contingencies for emergencies, there will be times when unexpected  situations will create delays. We will ensure these are minimized as best we can.
